Stoopid chef tricks

Apparently I am going to remember sites through out the kingdom by the contents of the kitchen.

Oh Lulu... Walk-in,  ice machine, 5 pizza ovens, 4 regular ovens,  2 convection ovens,16 burners, no dishwasher.
Germantown: 2 fridges, bring coolers/use the outside, 2 ovens, 8 burners and 2 microwaves. Dishwasher takes 2 hours to run.
Mudthaw: 5 ovens, 8 burners, walk in, ice machine, huge ass hobart, and no dishwasher.

It's like 'heraldry' for chefs. I need a life.

Don't feel so bad

what's a hobart?

:-)

Stand mixer, since "no dishwasher" precludes the other use of the term "Hobart" in this context.

Ding. Ding. About 20 qt floor model.

I want one.

But I think I'll confine myself to blinging out my KitchenAid stand mixer. Geraldine could use some paint anyway. I think she may get a Retro Re-do.

BTW - where do you get your pastry supplies. I cannot find leaf gelatin to save my life.

sigh

When the crepery where I worked closed I was hoping to get my hands on some of the equipment, but the owner was a putz in general and concerning restaurants in specific. He probably paid someone to take them away...

This Hobart appears to be a 20 qt floor mixer. It is the big brother of the household kitchen aide stand mixer.
