If I were to write some costuming/armoring articles, what would you be interested in reading/knowing?

Also if you were to take a class on rapier armor creation, what would you be interested in learning?

I agree with Isabel. It's one of the reasons I want to buy "modern" armor so I can wear that under garb and call it a day. I spend so much time making the stuff that I make since I've apprenticed that I want to wear it on the list and can't without making a bunch of adjustments. And I look lousy in the whole doublet shirt pants thingie. So I would like more ideas on how to make a dress work. Cause the last time I tried on I goofed it and that was disappointing. And I almost think it's too thick to fix it easily.

For costuming/armoring classes, 2 basic things.

One, how to do it on a budget, especially for people just starting out.

Two, how to do it based on a period (which may vary depending on the period, I know, but some general guidelines aren't bad, or a timeline even?) or region for the more advanced people.

Ideally I would love to have an easy to afford period kit . . . don't know if such things exist.

I can make quality, basic linen rapier armor for about $20-30.

Period armor about 30-40, depending on the style, period and culture.

It is easier to think armor first and then clothing. If you design the elements needed for armor, you can wrap the period clothing around it. It is a different way of thinking about costume construction.
