Armoring articles

If I were to write some costuming/armoring articles, what would you be interested in reading/knowing?

Also if you were to take a class on rapier armor creation, what would you be interested in learning?

For costuming/armoring classes, 2 basic things.

One, how to do it on a budget, especially for people just starting out.

Two, how to do it based on a period (which may vary depending on the period, I know, but some general guidelines aren't bad, or a timeline even?) or region for the more advanced people.

Ideally I would love to have an easy to afford period kit . . . don't know if such things exist.

I can make quality, basic linen rapier armor for about $20-30.

Period armor about 30-40, depending on the style, period and culture.
