I'm actually more of an immunologist :)
And my interests were wandering between immunology and genetics, and somebody told me I'd never be able to get the opening in the Lab studying anti-Chlamydia immunity. They were wrong. I even got the most immunology-oriented project there. So I'm only interested in microorganisms in their interaction with the host.
That is, unless it's related to cooking...
