Cooking projects- Paella and chocolate
Aug. 12th, 2009 12:07 pmI have started researching paellas and drinking chocolate. Fascinating things, Spanish foods. The Moorish influence on regional cooking are amazing. I will get to play with some of my favorite spices including saffron, cumin, cinnamon and cardamon.
Mmmmm... I will probably play with seafood and meat paellas. I will be working on two different paella (meat and seafood) dishes that would have been produced in later 16th century. This will allow me to avoid the seafood allergies/no pork for one and the avoid meat with the other. That should give me a wide range of audience to be able to partake and they should produce 2 very different flavor combinations.
Any volunteers for taste testing?
