Mmmmm.. cookie bars with coconut. One of my favorite holiday cookie recipes. You will need a culinary/food scale.

1/2 lb unsalted butter
4 oz brown sugar
5 oz white sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp vanilla
11 oz bread flour
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp salt
12 oz chocolate chips

1 can sweetend condensed milk
1 bag shreaded coconut
12oz toffee chips

1.  Preheat oven to 350
2.  Cream together butter and sugars, until light and fluffy
3.  Add eggs one at a time mix throughly
4.  Add vanilla
5.  Sift flour, baking soda, and salt
6.  Add to butter/sugar/egg mixture
7.  Mix until moistened.
8.  Add chocolate chips
9.  Grease 9 x 11 glass pan
10. Add cookie mixuture to form a crust on the bottom
11. Cook about 20 minutes
12. Add Condensed milk to warm cookie crust, covering in a thin layer
13. Add toffee chips and coconut evenly across crust
14. Bake an additional 20-25 minutes until coconut and condensed milk are "toffee"/"caramel" colored

Yield varies depending on how big you cut your squares.

To  make chocolate chip cookies:
1 lb unsalted butter
8 oz brown sugar
9 oz white sugar
4 eggs
2 tsp vanilla
1 lb 7 oz bread flour
2 tsp baking soda
2 tsp salt
24 oz chocolate chips

Yields about 36 cookies using a large cookie scoop.  Follow steps 1-8 from the recipe above.  Using a cookie scoop drop cookies 2" apart on un-greased cookie sheet.  Pat down the top of the cook to remove the roundness.  Cook about 13-15 minutes at 350 or until the edges of the cookie are lightly browned.
