My pie maker* arrived last week and I have been experimenting with PIE! It doesn't do well with egg custards. Too high of heat using steam. But pot pie... om nom nom. Perfect serving for me too, 1/3 of a cup of filling. Tried 2 different pie crusts tonight.
Puff pastry. Very crispy and flaky, too much butter released onto the pan though. But 10 minutes and perfect golden brown.

Regular pie crust. Nothing remarkable, except good pie.

* They go out of stock VERY quickly. I have been lusting after this machine since October.

Thankfully my wonderful husband just made beef pasties last night, so I had my meat-covered-in-bready-goodness fix already today.
Otherwise...I would have to come eat yours!
