The cake/gingerbread great hall might be too big to transport to the event from Philly (even in pieces). I am open to ideas. What would you like to see in a medieval Ace of Cakes meets food network challenge 2-4 foot cake?  I'll worry about the historically accurate part later.

Hmmm... Rapunzel's Tower? With spun-sugar hair? :-D

A 16th century Dutch Windmill?

The Mary Rose?

Hmm...

Would a "mediocre hall" be too large to transport?

Mediocre might just be small enough. ;-)

Uh huh. Cause there is nothing accurate about this event.

St George and the Dragon. Not only because we could then lop the dragon's head off. ;)

Dragons are a scared beast...

"Swans, Rabbits, & Dragons are protected species and shall not be served at events attended by Lucan and Jana."

This has potential though.

I.. Have thoughts... but I'm going to restrain myself.

How about the reclining knight? Let me see if I can find a picture...

Could work. If you can find a pic, that would be neato.

Ok - this was the one I was thinking of - "Dorchester Abbey, Tomb of a Knight"
See, they are already on top of these nice cake-shaped boxes! ;)

If Dragons are protected, isn't that going to make Pennsic problematical? ;-)

I'd want to have a cake look like one of Playfords books on dance. But, that's far too simple for you. It's just something that would make me very happy.
