Ducal happened. A nice quiet day of making sure the Royals had food, water and what ever else they needed, sitting in the shade doing nothing and letting people play with the pike.

I am still trying to process the end of the day. As you can see by "What did they just do"? expression on my face, that I was thoroughly caught by surprise when Malcolm got to the "elevate to high estate". And the death grip on the scooter to keep from shaking by the time he read "Grant her the following Arms". A naked grant. Ummm... wow.

The scroll is amazing. Words by lumineaux, from the Act in Restraint of Appeals (1533- Henry VII). Illuminations by math5 based on an English grant of arms from 1547. It has a cannon with a naked guy, nom nuts, a crow and lots of itty bitty calligraphy in lawyer-ese.
