...that means 8 more weeks of no weight bearing. Cranky panda is cranky (and I don't have an icon for that).

Yup you heard me. 8 more weeks til potential walking. We have screw failure in the big toe and the fusion didn't fuse. I am on 'limited weight bearing'. Which means I can take a shower, as long as I don't put any weight on my foot. I cannot walk on it because there is the potential of the screw breaking in 1/2.

Surgery is scheduled 2 days after I get back from Disney. And its a 4-6 week recovery from there (non weight bearing of course). It also means I will be on a stool cooking for Roses.

The upside? I did indeed get to do the happy pin removal 'dance' of joy. And the other breaks and procedures are healing the way they are suppose to. So there is some joy in mudville.

Thanks for the information and support last night; it's good to know the boots are good (and, indeed, their effectiveness was commented on this morning).

I hope it all sorts itself out properly and with a minimum of (further) fuss.

I am glad the boot is helping out. It took me at least a month or so for me to get used to wearing mine for the full night. I will get you the other info tomorrow.
