There was mud, it was thawed and all had a great time. The event went well. I was able to roll out to the list to see the fencey types for a few minutes. And I went down stairs to see the vendors and a special trip to see Jaji and Bruni. The boy got to play with his pike. It really goes well with the artillery outfit he was wearing. Like it completed the ensemble.

Scooter was a big hit as well. Many, many people were curious about it. Not to mention the floor of the hall was perfect for scootering. I could get speed and smooth rolling. I mostly had to worry about not rolling over people's dress trains. And people not getting out of the way of the scooter.

Though I did run over a small child, who was not paying attention to where he was running (he was looking one way, running the other). I simply could not stop fast enough. He looked at me, giggled, and then kept running.

I delivered HRH's practice armor and HRM waffenrock and armoring shirt. Princess looked smashing in her new armor. Cateline la broderesse took some fabulous pictures. This one, with the Kingdom Marshal of Fence is my favorite.

The Strauben were a very big hit. I had almost 130 portions and ended up with 4 or 5 at the end of the day. The addition of the apple changed the dough slightly and I ended up with a dough nut type consistency. But nom tasty! Bread and goat cheese was a super big hit as well.

The rest of the day was spent finishing up the R.O.U.S. It came out 'cute' with ferocious teeth. Apparently, they served the head to the Queen. Violet rescued my tray from feast since we didn't stay. And there was only a little bit of cake left. My entry wasn't the largest or most impressive or on fire. It wasn't designed to be smashy, smashy with a hammer. But, I know it tasted great (if you like chocolate and raspberries and port). And I am happy with that. And there are a great number of photographs of the little guy floating around. Best question of the day... "You really cannot help yourself, can you? You have far too much fun with this stuff." Yup.

Long court was loooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooong and I barely made it through. Sitting that still in one spot is difficult. I played, name that thing the herald is/should/outta be doing. I am trying to reinforce the class from Noisemakers. And then there was booze. Since I'm not on any more drugs that react violently with alcohol, I could indulge just a little, because drunk scootering would be bad.

Topped off the day with Chinese food and talking about guns. I spent most of yesterday off my feet trying to get the swelling to go down and napping. I am having a hard time with the new boot. But that is a post for another day.

Photos are here: I didn't take many pictures as the site was too big, and I was too not mobile. Though 99.9 percent of the pics were taken by Lissa.

Yup. She did a good job. Once I showed her the point and shoot and zoom, she was off and running.
