No KQAS for me this year

I agreed to be the event steward for Noisemakers long before the date was set for K & Q A & S. It would have bothered me to no end to back out of that to do the other. So while I may be missing out on the last minute hurry and get stuff together, I am enjoying the learning experience that comes with running an event. I mean, usually I don't think about things like paper towels and garbage bags. But if I don't bring them (or arrange for them to be brought), then we wont have them. Same with things like signs and tape and pens and all the other little stuff that goes into an event. The big things are easy to arrange. The little things go on a list (and by now my lists have lists) so I don't forget to account for them. It is amazing how many little things there are.

There are an amazing group of people helping me get through everything (especially math5, binsteaj). Gentle reminders about things that need to be acquired, or photocopied, or brought. The food is in the capable hands of violet_amy. The class schedule is filled thanks to the hard work of katnboots. Setup and clean up crews are in place and the last reminders about court have just been sent. And so far the weather looks promising, sunshine and everything.

I am looking forward to a nice low key event. Minimal travel time. And wonderful people to hang out with.

My local yarn store is having a huge sale in a couple of weeks, so I'd like to know colors you might like. I'd like to pick up what i can from there, since they are a little cheaper than other stores even when they're not having a sale.
