If I weren't a fencer, crutches would be a bigger pain in the ass. Hurray for upper body and core strength.

I, apparently, harassed the anesthesiologist. *blush* I don't remember a bit of it, but I apparently entertained the rest of the OR staff to no end with it. At least I did wake up... which means I mustn't have been too terrible.

Take it slow. Don't ambulate TOO much, even on the crutches. Narcotics sometimes mask things. The more you can elevate that foot early, the more quickly it will heal.

I am always extra special nice to the people with the "good drugs". They didn't give me anything until we got into the room. Which means I was more me than I would have been otherwise.

My leg is propped on several fluffy pillows and I got the ice going. And if I don't have to move, I'm not. By Saturday I fully expect to be ready to go out of my ever loving mind. I have a dr appointment Thursday. I have a feeling that will be a full week of excitement in that one trip.
