As webminister, I get a lot of interesting questions from is my site compliant to what the heck do I do now/first? What do you guys think of a SCA class? Topics could include:
Getting started
Available technologies
EK rules/policies
ADA/508 compliance

What do you think? And where would be a good place to teach such a thing?

Joomla's not so bad; Drupal is what we're using in the Canton's new site (which I really, really, really should make available...).

I was planning on setting up a set of "how to" videos/screencasts for how to use it (since it does take some instruction, just not much)... I could either do something general, if it might be useful, or put together a "why you might want to do this", sort of thing...

CMSes are good solutions, if you have that particular problem ;)

That could be good. I am thinking somewhat long term here. As we have a busy couple of months coming up.

I know that we need some of the basics like, what is FTP and how to use it.

CMS is a great idea. I am a big fan of them. I am thinking we should look at our webminister site and see what we can do to add more resources.

I used to be against it...but then, I wasn't really in a situation where it was a good solution. For what we do, it's really a great thing to have.

There are a lot of extensions that we could find useful...on top of what comes built in, it's even better.

I'll write up some things and get started on the instructional stuff... Now I'm a believer ;)
