All in all it was a good weekend spent with family and friends. Friday was BBQ with the family, Saturday was BBQ with Hessians, Sunday was detox with the cats and pizza with Telescope_merc. There was cooking...I made a berry trifle and a batch of chocolate chip cookies. There was also a 2nd degree burn in there from the cookie sheet (rookie maneuver). And sewing. Lots and lots of sewing.

Updates- Calendar here

Melchior- Waffenrok, 60% complete :)
Front panels gathered and cut. Back panel sewn and ironed. With any luck I can actually get the back done tonight and joined. If that goes according to plan, I can actually re-pleat the skirt and attach it to the top. He still needs to decide if it is a closed or split skirt.

Melchior- Vest 1, 90% complete :)
Button holes are in progress and button locations marked.

Melchior- Shirt 1, 100% complete :)
Buttons, button holes, and all threads trimmed.

Countess Alethea- Soldier's coat, 100% complete :)
It has buttons, button holes and shoulder tabs.

HRM- Champion favors, 20% complete
I started the project early as I needed little hand sewing things to work on. I have started the beading.

Malcolm- Shirt 1, 50% deconstructed :/
I decided to deconstruct most of the shirt. It was too historical, and not commercial enough. I was suppose to make it in the style of a popular vendor. Instead, I was on auto pilot and created one of my standard rapier shirts (period style). I am not sure I can rescue the fabric into the other pattern... Right now it is hanging up, trying to tell me how it wants to be "fixed". I may need to order more fabric (yes I can still get these done before pennsic). Totally my bad.

HRM- Waffenrok shirt
I have the pattern for a shirt. It is a commercial pattern, but one that will translate well for what I need it to do. The waffenrok is cut with a square neck line, so I need a shirt that will cover that area, 3-4 layers. The shirt will have a horizontal line with the layers at the top and shoulder, and the gather at the middle. Not quite as period as I would like, but much more inline with passing armor test (which at this point is crucial)

Alesone- Pickle dress, 100% complete :)
The sleeves have been closed and have ties attached. The bodice has the loops for the ties to attach to and lacing holes sewn. The skirt has button hole and button. This dress is done and ready to pack.

Alesone- Rapier armor, 90% complete :)
The skirt has been attached to the bodice and trim added. This dress is missing the ties and placard.
