I just can't understand the people who bitch about your shoes. They are bereft of empathy.
You don't get to making that level of garb without figuring out that you should also have period shoes and accessories. If I didn't know you at all, the fact that you aren't wearing them would tell me that you have a Damned Good Reason. And I'd never ask for a justification for it.
