General updates-Liam styled
1. I have been putting my armature stuff up on the project blog. I've nailed down the formulas that I want to play with. Long, mostly coherent post here.
2. Surgery for next Friday is a go. All pre-surgery testing has been completed and I am totally clear. Dr appointment to look at the CMT spread to my hands has been scheduled for June (joy oh joy more xrays).
3. I have to track down a missing package.
4. I am taking a week off sewing for SCA and instead sewing for the Steampunk World Faire. Throwing something together quick and dirty. All hail the power of using and abusing my costuming skills from all the centuries. Next year, I will do the proper Victorian. I even have the inspiration dress picked out.
5. If April showers bring May flowers, what does the deluge of rain in May bring.
7. There is no #7
8. I really love, love, love embroidering with silk floss. Curse you
femkederoas for sending me to the hedgehog link. But progress is very slow. I am working with the long and short satin fill stitch and it is time consuming. I've been working for 2 weeks now and I have 1/2 half of 1 leg 75% completed.

'Sides, now you have something else to shop for at Pennsic. It's actually worth doing a sampler of different brands of silk. Especially filament vs. spun, which definitely work up entirely differently.

Filament is shiny, spun is soft and fills better.

Have dabbled a bit in steampunk myself... mostly for the clothes. https://picasaweb.google.com/Lady.Camille.Desjardins/0904SteampunkPicnic#5513921080327632018 Work in progress. Walking skirt needs a little modification (and I have a vest now), but it's terribly comfortable.. :)
