Today is applique Sunday. I am working on heraldic device construction and a Swabian gown applique design (this one's going to take time and work but I finally have a design in mind). I have decided that I hate the heraldic animals. Too many swoops, swooshes and flarey bits. But they look awesome when they are done, they just take 2x longer than say cannons and muskets and salamanders. But here are the works in progress for today.

FYI: That's ermine printed fabric of linen/cotton blend 5.3 oz.  You can get custom printed fabrics here.  I was NOT going to paint white ermines on black fabric.  It was too much of a pain in the ass when I did Ian's hood. Customer service was pretty good.

Does he have ermines too? Because Ian already has a pattern done, and might be able to just upload a new color if needed.
