Hrm. I resisted the pull of Pudding and voted Crown - I like Sparky better that way aesthetically - but whenever I see Sparky portrayed around the kingdom (say, on our helmets for example) he's crown-less. I think in this context he's better with crown, if he's going to be viewed with other regalia.
Having seen the sword of state and done some google noodling - it's a sword - 14th century broadsword in style - I'll try to dig up a picture - I think we have one from Ed and Meg's Excellent Adventure.
And FYI - a piece of advice I got from someone - (paraphrased) "If you don't want to be recognized, you'd better stop what you're doing." ;)

I've gone through all the pictures I can in a short amount of time, and I'm pretty sure that's it - all other pictures are rather fuzzy and indistinct though - but the shape is right. - K.
