[cake] Inspiration?

Auntie lumineaux sent me an image yesterday of a German sculpture of a dragon eating someone. Which of course lead me to beast statures.  Which lead to Notre Dame's Chimeras.

So Im thinking something along this vein:


Look how happy he is, nomming on a chicken.  Appropriately period and everything.  Perfect for coronation... if you are someone with a twisted sense of humor. Which I am.  Now all I have to do is figure out how to actually pull this off with cake.

Pie!

My pie maker* arrived last week and I have been experimenting with PIE! It doesn't do well with egg custards. Too high of heat using steam. But pot pie... om nom nom. Perfect serving for me too, 1/3 of a cup of filling. Tried 2 different pie crusts tonight.

* They go out of stock VERY quickly.  I have been lusting after this machine since October.
