[project update] Sparky

I have a little less than 2 weeks to go before KQ & AS. I worked on Sparky last night. I got the rest of the rice cereal treats made for the missing body parts.  Built up the chest and head area.  I put all the pieces together and got him standing upright. He is sporting a lovely sugar 'crumb coat' and some gum paste spackle.  I am happy with base body lines. I continue to work on getting the rest of the lines done.  I have to work fast to get all the parts done because the need to dry rock hard prior to transport to CT. It is amazing how fast 3 hours can go by.

Birka was long, fun and I didn't 'have' to really do anything. I marshaled for most of the morning. Draped a couple of people for garb.  Went shopping and bought $50 worth of whole spices. Delivered a shirt and doublet. Worked on the Mamluk coat during court. Curia was actually fun.  Company on the long drive was fantastic. I got to hang out with a lot of people that I don't get to see very often. I went 'Ding' fighter has gained one level in 'marshal' class.  Had an interesting conversation with HRH about armor... 15th century Byzantine/Ottoman empire. More on that later.
