Some one remind me that while I love doing stripey outfits, I detest working with diagonals. They waste more fabric, it is critical that you get all the stripes facing the same way, and they take a craptastic load of time to get right. And the next time I want to do a quartered cote with diagonals, some one remind me I'm insane.
Right now I am letting the fabric just sit. If I try to to work with it now, I am afraid I am going to f@ck up. And I just got all the pieces pieced and cut. Sometimes the best option is to just walk away and let a project sit. In the mean time the four panels of painted stags are done and the lining is cut. Everyhting is ready for assembly tomorrow evening. I am debating whether to do a crenelated black border at the bottom of the cote.
Other project updates:
One of oaken_glen's under kirtles was completed.
Argent_tyger's cassock is now the proud owner of 60 odd buttons.
HRM fencing doublet is also button enabled.
IanRaven's cote inner lining constructed.
Pictures tomorrow, promise.
