Sing all praises of Pants!
Jun. 4th, 2010 11:16 amIt is June. Time to start the Pennsic sewing in earnest. Well as much as my foot will allow me to sit and sew.
I started mapping out patterns for oaken_glen and katnboots (they require much more work involving standing and moving). Plans are in the works for getting some custom made Tadcaster fabric for heraldic tabbards and coathardies. Practice jacket pattern has been painted and is ready for cutting.
I did work on Argent_tyger's jacket. I have 12 of 19 yards of trim sewn on. The rest I will get on tonight. I am hoping to get to the shirt tonight as well (but it is not looking likely). A couple of other small projects, and then I should be ready for Ducal tomorrow.
I started piecing the first 1/2 of one leg that will become Matt's new pants. Cutting things out is something that doesn't require standing or sitting at a sewing machine. There are a lot of pieces to this new garb set. And I can get them 'tacked' down with fuse-able web. They should be "cool" or "interesting" or "scary beyond all belief" depending on how you look at it.
