Projects full steam ahead
May. 4th, 2010 11:40 pmI am making progress on those projects that do not require a sewing machine. Unfortunately, the sewing machine pile is bigger than the non sewing machine pile. I will have to plow through that stuff in June/July. That's when I should be able to sit at the machine without my foot swelling to the size of Canada. Also the risk of sewing through my fingers due to a dilauded induced haze should be greatly reduced.
Sooper sekrit project 1: Embroidery complete. Fabric cut. Appliques applied. Gold work in progress. Pictures eventually.
Web site: Under construction/development. Scatter art acquired. Ombudsman intervening. Beta testers secured.
Griff's shirt: cuff one is done and is very pretty. Silver work in progress. Hand stitching after measurement to commense. Material washed and ready to cut.
Queen's doublet: tabs ready to be attached and finish work completed. This will probably be a train project on the way to roses.
Marion: Material ordered, some linen washed ready to be ironed.
Cat: Material washed. Muslin ready for draping
Ian: Fabric painted with happy green ermine dots. Ready for cutting.
Matt: ah the new pants. I have flame pattern designed and ready for fabric transfer.
All other projects fit into the sewing machine/draping bucket. And require me to sit at a tall table for long periods of time or stand on my feet for long periods of time. Either of which is a "bad idea" at the moment.
