Sep. 11th, 2009 11:46 amI am knee deep into the travels of sugar. It is interesting to see who had sugar when and why. Not too surprising the sugar trail follows the spice trail through Europe. Spain owes a lot to the invading Moors. They brought sugar, saffron, cinnamon and pepper to the party. These 4 spices make up the backbone of Spanish cuisine.
