Yay for you! I've just started toddling around for really short distances without a cane but I'm no good for more than about 10 or 15 feet. Let's compare notes. (On the other hand my physical therapist is adorable.)
I'm still in a boot for at least 6 more weeks. (A boot, I might add, that hasn't been walked on since I got it in Late March.) I have to support my balance with crutches until my hips decide they can handle moving with out support. I haven't started therapy yet, but I've been doing stretches for a few weeks now. The real work is just starting.
That means I'm well ahead of you in rehab. Still, we can definitely emphathize with one another. Hang in there and if it starts getting to you, give me a holler.
This is my second time of going through foot/leg rehab. The last time took me 2 months in the hospital and one month in convalescence and a physical therapist we all called Vampira. Comparatively speaking, this is a breeze.
