I actually made quite a bit of progress yesterday, because I made very little on Saturday. Though in true SCA event tradition, I was sewing buttons and a garter on Matt's "swiss guard vs fruit stripe" pants on the way to the EKWC.

Things on the calendar are getting removed and I only have 1 major project left that has not been started as of this time (though I have washed all the linen). Everything else has been started or is a state of mostly doneness. Calendar updates.

Parade of pants
I have completed 3 pairs of pants, and have a fourth ready for a waist band and cuffs. I will finish those up tonight. And as appropriate, as soon as I laid them down on the bed to get a shot of them, Zot had to sit on them (linen is a Zot magnet). The red ones are for Melchior. I know they are simple and plain and well... after the other pants, kinda boring. But I figure if he is going to be on the gun line at all, he should maybe have something "normal".

Melchior
I finished a fourth shirt.I have finally gotten my head out of my ass on gussets. If I do what everyone suggested and remember to add them BEFORE I join the sleeves to the body, they go in so super easy. No cursing or anything. And they look all professional and everything. Doh. Now the trick is to remember to do them first.

HRM Waffenrok
I fit his Majesty this weekend. And the thing fit... mostly. It is a little tight when he flexes his back. I will cover the details in a separate post as I need a little brainstorming with the LJ hive mind. It is also a little long, but not overly so, I will probably alter this. But it looks great on him. And more importantly, he loves it.

Marion
Her dress has been delivered and it fits. We were thinking I was going to have to add a gusset panel as it is a little tight. But as the day wore on she said it fit great and was fine with it as is. she even likes the train. Woo hoo... one less thing to worry about.

Favors
Champion favors have been completed and delivered. I really hope some of the fencers get them. They are all sorts of shiny and beady. Good for foppy types.

This week will prove to be especially busy for the machine. Which is good, because most of the hand work is done and I'm running out of buttons.

You are a machine.

And the textile artillerist icon STILL doesn't look like what it is.
