Pennsic panic- daily update

Yesterday was remarkably productive.

Lissa
I completed Lissa's dress. With a placard and partlet, she "could" fence in it. It's a nice bit of work, though not the most complicated of garments to construct. The colors are in the fall pallet, and perfectly period colors. As it is worn and wash, some of the brightness will dissipate and be quite lovely. This garment started out as a quick costume idea for girls night out, and ended up as a real "period" garment (minus the hand sewing). I need to finish the shirt, but I will be turning over the garment to her for closures and buttons. Caul and apron would complete this outfit, and I think she has those.

Soldier's coat
I finished the soldier's coat for Countess Alethea. I am currently working on her sleeve ties for the bodice. The sleeves are ready to go. I've been wanting to make something for her in linen to fence in, since I made the other outfit. I had a brief brain fart moment of what the, why is this so big? I forgot to sew the shoulder tabs. In this garment the sleeves are sewn to the jacket, and then folded over itself to create the tabs. Once I realized that, the jacket suddenly does what it is suppose to. :D

Misc sewing
More sleeve ties have been sewn, Matt's shirt is finished (minus extra gusset and buttons), and a few random projects are nearing completion.

Today is a "day-off" for fencing. But I have 2 hours prior to practice to get some stuff done. I'm thinking the crimson dress, or some pants.
